How tracking works
Open tracking adds a small image to the HTML body. Loading that image records an open event. It requires HTML content and an email client that loads images. Click tracking rewrites supported links through a tracking URL, records the request, and redirects to the original destination. An open is evidence that the image loaded, rather than proof that a person read the message. Image blocking, privacy features, and automated link checks can affect engagement measurements. A delivered status means the recipient’s server accepted the message; it does not prove inbox placement.Dashboard controls
Open Settings → Tracking in your dashboard and review the open and click tracking switches before sending. Configure the Google Analytics toggle in the same tab when using that integration. Check plans and billing for analytics access and retention: Free has a 30-day demo, Basic has 30 days of history, and Pro and Enterprise have 365 days. Custom tracking domains and webhooks have their own plan allowances.API controls
UseconsumerKey and consumerSecret headers with a key that has Statistics & Management APIs enabled. Paths are relative to https://pro.api.serversmtp.com/api/v2.
