# Start Sending Email with turboSMTP

> Choose SMTP relay or HTTP API sending, create Consumer credentials, and find setup, delivery tracking, validation, and account-management guides.

turboSMTP lets your application send transactional and marketing email through an SMTP relay or HTTP API. These guides take you from account setup and credentials to sending, delivery tracking, and account management.

## Choose an integration

> [card] [SMTP Relay](/docs/get-started/smtp-configuration.md)
>
> Configure an email client, CMS, or SMTP library with a host, port, and Consumer credentials.

> [card] [HTTP API](/docs/sending/email-api.md)
>
> Send a JSON message from your application with Consumer Key and Secret headers.

> [card] [Frameworks and Applications](/docs/integrations/overview.md)
>
> Find configuration guides and the release status of provider integrations.

> [card] [SDKs and Examples](/docs/integrations/sdks.md)
>
> Choose a supported library or use HTTP examples in your language.

## Create an account and credentials

Register through the [dashboard](https://dashboard.serversmtp.com). Free-plan activation is subject to account review; check [free-plan setup](/docs/get-started/free-trial.md) for the steps. The Free allowance is up to 200 emails per day. See [pricing](https://serversmtp.com/pricing/) for the current validity period and feature limits.

Create credentials under **Settings → Integrations → API Keys → Edit**. Use the **Consumer Key as your SMTP username** and **Consumer Secret as your SMTP password**. For HTTP calls, pass them as `consumerKey` and `consumerSecret` headers. Enable the sending or management permission needed by your integration.

## Global and EU sending

turboSMTP is an Italian company with European sending infrastructure. Choose the appropriate host:

| Protocol | Global | EU |
| - | - | - |
| SMTP | `pro.turbo-smtp.com` | `pro.eu.turbo-smtp.com` |
| Send API | `https://api.turbo-smtp.com/api/v2/mail/send` | `https://api.eu.turbo-smtp.com/api/v2/mail/send` |

Both SMTP hosts support STARTTLS on `587`, `2525`, and `25`, and implicit TLS on `465` and `25025`. Use the [base URL guide](/docs/api-reference/base-urls.md) for management hosts and data-residency considerations.

## After your first send

* [Authenticate your domain](/docs/deliverability/spf-dkim-dmarc.md) with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
* Open **Analytics** to inspect delivery records, or receive [event webhooks](/docs/analytics/webhooks.md).
* Manage bounces and complaints through [suppressions](/docs/deliverability/bounce-spam-management.md).
* Use [email validation](/docs/account/email-validation.md) to check contact addresses before sending.
* Configure [sub-accounts](/docs/account/subaccounts.md) when you manage sending for multiple customers.

Feature availability, retention, dedicated IPs, and support channels depend on your plan. See [plans and billing](/docs/account/plans-billing.md) before relying on a feature or trial.
